Your data
Delete your Fair Go account
You can do it yourself, from inside the app, without emailing anybody. It takes about thirty seconds and it is permanent.
How
- Open Fair Go on your iPhone.
- Go to the You tab.
- Tap Your data.
- Under “Close the account”, tap Delete my account.
- Type
delete my accountto confirm, then tap Delete for good.
You’ll be signed out straight away and the phone empties its own copy.
Take a copy first
On the same screen, above the delete section, Make the files gives you everything Fair Go holds: the lot as JSON, your meals as a spreadsheet and your training as another. Once the account is gone it cannot be rebuilt, so if you might want it, get it now.
What gets deleted
- Your account and your sign-in
- Every food and water log, and every weigh-in
- Your goals and your household
- Foods you added or corrected
- Your workouts, your training week and every finished session
- Your crews and anything you shared to them
- Your profile photo
- Any assistant you connected, and the key it was using
Anything held only on your phone — recipes, the week’s plan, the shopping list, your progress photos, your reminder settings — is removed from the phone at the same time. Deleting the app on its own removes those too.
What doesn’t
Two things survive, and neither is connected to you:
- A food you deliberately shared with everyone, by scanning a barcode and confirming the label, stays in the shared food database.
- Anything Fair Go wrote into Apple Health stays in Apple Health, because that’s your data in your Health app, not ours. Remove it there if you want it gone: Health → Browse → the data type → Show All Data.
How long it takes
The account record goes immediately. Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days, after which no copy remains anywhere.
Can’t get into the app?
If you can’t sign in, write to matt@fairgo.today from the email address on your account and we’ll delete it for you. We’ll confirm within 30 days.
